Dear John & Pali friends,

I find keeping to simple Anglo-Saxon far more delightful and beneficial
where I can avoid Latinisms, Grecianism and long words in my translations.
If really necessary I only use them in the footnotes. Buddhism has a way of
giving simple word profound meanings. I remind myself I translate not as a
technician but as/for a practising Buddhist. While these should be a balance
between the letter and the spirit: the spirit is still the essence.
