N: See Warder, Ch 16, fem. in aa have either aaya or aaya.m in the singular
locative. Just discovered this, I came across: Eka.m samaya.m bhagavaa
Saavatthiya.m viharati Jetavane Anaathapi.n.dikassa aaraame..

N: locative , staying in a place, and accusative could be more: a direction,
towards.

Do you have the Udaana Co. by Achariya Dhammapala, Tr by P. Masefield? It
gives in the beginning many pages of the use of eva.m, and also eva.m me
sutta.m, it is worth while studying. Co and subco are always excellent
teachers of Pali, they give many grammatical explanations. Besides, I have
experienced so often now that I overlooked a meaning in the Sutta and that
the Co explained the meaning. Very surprising each time!
Masefield critizes the P.T.S. transl of Woodward, also his punctuation seems
confusing. What texts are you using, Cha.t.thasa"ngaayana? I know nothing
about manuscripts.
