I have looked up pana in PED and have quoted two ca+pana
combinations below:
1. ca pana - but (PED pana);
2. atha ca pana - and yet (PED pana).
A web search on 'ca' gives more occurences, and I quote those that
may be useful below:
1. ajjata~n ca - this very day (PED ajjata);
2. atha ca pana - on the other hand (PED atha);
3. ca ca - both and, as well as (PED api);
4. api ca - further, and also, moreover (PED api);
5. api ca kho - moreover, and yet, still, all the same (PED api);
6. api ca kho pana - all the same, never mind, nevertheless (PED
api);
7. ca c'ubhaya.m - and both, for both and; and also, alike as well
(PED ubhaya);

Nina, I have never used PTS pali text, so I am not sure about their
numbering system. What I have in mind is that I will select
sentences from Samyutta or Anguttara Nikaya, in which the suttas are
much shorter, and easier to search for sentences across the many
pali editions. What do you think?
