Hi Frank,

These are alternative abbreviations. My choice would be the simpler
single-letter abbreviation for the 4 Nikayas:

D = Digha Nikaya, etc.

Two-three letters for other canonical works (except Abhidhamma), e.g.

Kh = Khuddaka Nikaya
Dh = Dhammapada

But

Tha = Theragaathaa
Thii = Theriigaathaa

Three-letters for Abhidhamma, e.g.

Kvu = Kathavatthu
