Thank you very much for your feedback on my answers
from chapter 10 of the Gair Karunatillake "New Course
in Reading Pali". I have now replaced the file with
my amended version based on your helpful suggestions.
(To others in the group, particularly those who are
new, I have been working through this book, and
posting all my translations of the exercises in our

What's the problem here? PED lists ko.ti as "end,
tip", da.n.da is "stick", and the -iya.m ending is an
alternative form of the locative for feminine -i stem
nouns. Hence "on the end of a stick" makes sense,
right?
