Vvyc> I'm new to this list. I have a question. Where in the Pali Canon
Vvyc> is the actual description of the techniques of meditation, the
Vvyc> actual practice?
The whole Canon is devoted to the actual practice. However the
practice is described in the light of heuristic principles.
I don't think it's possible to describe Buddhist path as a set of
rigid 'techniques' - the practitioner has to understand and implement
the principles, for example, the balance of samatha and vipassana, the
balance of spiritual faculties, reflection on the results of actions.
Moreover, the practioner needs to learn principles in the course
of practice.
