Dear Dhammafriends:
There is a sentence in the Visudhi~naan.a-kathaa by Mahasi Sayadaw:
So pi hi aarammaoe nirantara.m ekaakaarena pavattamaano pa.tipakkhena anabhibhuuto appito viya cittaim niccala× .thaketii”ti:
(Mahasi Sayadaw The Progress of Insight , tr. by Nyanaponika Thera, Kandy: Bddhist Publication Society. 1985, p.52.)
which Nyanaponika Thera translated as:
For that (type of concentration), too, when it occurs uninterruptedly with its respective object in a single mode and is not overcome by opposition, fixes the mind immovably, as if in absorption.
But I can’t find the term ‘.thaketi’ in PED and my other two Japanese-Pali dictionaris. Could somebody tell me where it comes from?
With metta
