Dear Derrick,

Didnt see any one answering on your name question. So here are some
suggestions:

Manaapii, Kalyaanii, Anoma, Abhiruupii (all of which come close to the
meaning of "admirable

beauty").

If you want it more literally though, "miranda" [latin] comes from "mirus"
which has the same root as

sanskrit "smi" or smayate = to smile. The corresponding pali noun is

Mihita [smita>*hmita>*mhita>mihita] and means "A smile". (if available
check the Pali English Dictionary or a Sanskrit Dictionary for details)

As to the script, i read that Brahmi and Karosthri could both be regarded as
most ancient Indian scripts but Brahmi was first "established" by Emperor
Asoka. Nevertheless it is obvious that the Indians could write and read
before Asoka, although they seem to have never made much use of it.

Whether Brahmi was in use at Buddhas time is still not verified, as far as
my knowledge goes. The point is, that at least some Brahmi letters report
Greek influence like the THA or Greek Theta. So, have there been contacts
with Greek culture even before Buddhas time??

It might be easier to make use of other scripts as Jou Smith already
wrote....
