Dear Mangesh,
Pali is the same as Magadha - the language used by the Buddha at that
time. According to the Commentaries it is a very ancient language and
even the 'original' language. In future worlds it will, I believe,
also be the language that is commonly used during a Buddhasasana (as
it was in past times). I think it is still used in deva worlds - but
others might have references for this.
