Dear All,
A deep bow!
Can anybody tell me as to what the probable name of
'Pali' during the time was?
Was it ' SAKAAY NIRUTTI'?
If it were SAKAAY NIRUTTI, is it having anything to do
with 'SAKYA'?
There is a lot of confusion over the historicity of
Pali language.
To me, it was the ' Lingua Franca' of pre-buddhistic
and buddhistic India.
Eager to know the answers,
With Metta,
Mangesh
