Dear Pali friends,
This following phrase is one that comes up a lot in
the suttas (generally where Dependent Origination is
being discussed):
"Katamaa ca bhikkhave, jaati? Yaa tesa.m tesa.m
sattaana.m tamhi tamhi sattanikaaye jaati sa~njaati
okkanti nibbatti abhinibbatti, khandhaana.m
paatubhaavo aayatanaana.m pailaabho, aya.m vuccati
bhikkhave, jaati."

Can anyone tell me the subtleties of difference in
meaning between all the words "jaati sa~njaati okkanti
nibbatti abhinibbatti"? To me they all seem to be
synonymous with a general sense of "birth, becoming,
rebirth".

Is there something more here?

Thanks,
John
