I would like to wish all members a happy Vesak Day*. At the same
time, I'd like to thank everybody for your support and participation
over the last ten months.

My study of Pali is interrupted due to my full time engineering study
now, but I hope to get back to it as soon as possible. I am always
excited when thinking about reading the Tipitaka in Pali, the closest
to the language Buddha used. Most probably I will restart the reading
of the Pali Primer by Dr Silva.

The work of Tipitaka.net has also been stopped temporarily, but I
have plans to turn it into a resource site that will complement
tipitaka.org (VRI) and Access to Insight (ATI) rather than mere
duplication. You will see some of the sections updated and improved
by the end of the year. Suggestions and contributions are always
welcome.

I'd also like to highlight that no file attachments is allowed. This
is to prevent mail hogging and spamming. However, the "Files" section
is opened to all members. It allows members to upload files and
programs into Yahoo!'s server. I believe this arrangement allows
better segregation of discussion messages, and documentations and
programs. A separate section for files also provide an easy access in
the future for searching and downloading. There is, however, a quota
to the "Files" section. But please don't hesitate to make use of it.
Once the quota is used up, I will transfer the older files to
Tipitaka.net.

May the blessings of the Triple Gems be with you, your family and
friends.

Yong Peng.
