etimulogically 'Vivatthati' means to open, 'Samvatthati' means to close. in this context 'evolve' and 'devolve' may be suitable.

Thank you.

But what does viva.t.tati and sa.mva.t.tati really means?
Should it be CONTRACTS and EXPANDS or as some translations puts it PASSES
AWAY and REEVOLVE.

Thanks again,
Wynn

Wynn,

devolve (contracts) = viva.t.tati
evolve (expands) = sa.mva.t.tati
