the village. - Vaanaraa gaamamhaa nikkhamanti.', village (gaamamhaa)
is in the ablative case.

I'd like to quote from Charles Duroiselle:

600(i)
The primary meaning of the Ablative is that expressed by the word
"from"; that is, it expresses separation; it expresses also many
other relations, in which the principal idea of separation is more or
less discernible.

600(ii)
Separation: gaamaa apenti, they left the village; so assaa patati, he
fell from the horse.
