DC> 337. "Pañca kaamagu.ne hitvaa, piyaruupe manorame
DC> saddhaaya gharaa nikkhamma dukkhassantakaro bhava.

Some sections of the commentary are very practical and interesting, so
I decided to continue it further:

340. ... Eva.m nekkhammaadhimuttatañcassa bhagavaa jaanaati.

nekkhama - renunciation
nekkhamma+adhimuttatta.m - the closest dictionary gives is
'adhivimuttatta', propensity, the fact of
being inclined or given to. Accusative.
ca - and
assa - genitive/dative singular of 'aya.m' 'this'
bhagavaa - the Blessed One
jaanaati - 3rd person singular of 'know'

And the Blessed One knows this his resolve for renunciation.

Tathaagatabalaññatarañhi eta.m ñaa.na.m.

aññatara - one of a certain number
tathaagata+bala+aññatara.m+hi
eta.m - this
ñaa.na.m - knowledge

For this knowledge is one of the powers of Tathagata.

Tasmaa aaha- "saddhaaya gharaa nikkhammaa"ti.

Therefore he said - "Having gone from home out of faith".

Atha vaa diigharatta.m saddhaayeva gharaa nikkhamma idaani
dukkhassantakaro bhavaati ayamettha adhippaayo.

atha vaa - or
diigharatta.m - for a long time (accusative of manner)
saddhaaya - by or with or from faith (instr/abl)
eva - so, even, just
gharaa - from the house (ablative)
nikkhamma - having gone forth (absolutive)
idaani - now (indecl.)
dukkhassa - of suffering (genitive)
antakaro - making the end, one who makes the end
(nominative singular)
bhava - become (imperative, 2nd person singular)
ti - end quote
ettha - here, in this place, in this case, in this matter
aya.m+ettha
adhippaayo - intention, wish, desire, sense, meaning (nominative)

And in this case the meaning is to 'having now gone from home
out of such long-term faith, become one who makes an end to
suffering'.
