Sean, you're right of course. I only read from the table in #78
onwards and didn't think to look in sections prior to that.

BTW I saw a used copy of Warder's "Indian Buddhism" in a local
bookstore at C$30 (U.S.$20). I thought that was a bit much for a used
book, so I didn't buy it. But then I checked at Pariyatti and it's
U.S.$35 new, so I may buy the used one this weekend.

Dimitry has given me a copy of the PTS translation of AN 7.7.8 (Mass
of Fire) that we just finished translating, so I'm going to polish
our translation in the light of that -- "with the former translations
diligently compared and revised" as it says in the King James Bible.

The PTS translation (by E. M. Hare) is rendered in idiomatic English,
which gives me confidence to stray from literalness and try to do the
same. I won't, though, be using those fetching Victorian archaisms
("twain" for "two", etc.)!
