When I need any information on Pali texts and related topics, I find
jbe.pse.la.psu.edu (the Journal of Buddhist Ethics website) a very helpful
starting pointing, my Pali gateway, as it were. From there a whole unverse
opens with connecting me to a universe of Pali-related web sites.

I managed to download fonts for Pali in various scripts: Roman, Devanagari,
Sinhalese, Thai, Burmese, and Khmer. They are really beautiful. I'm very
familiar with the Roman and Thai script, Sinhalese script, a very shaky
knowledge of the Devanagari, hope to pick up the Burmese script. I'm now
studying colloquial Khmer with a Singapore Polytechnic student.

Can anyone tell me how I can save the macro configuration (shorcut keys) to
"Insert Symbols" to access these scripts in MS Word, so that I do not have
to re-do them, each time I re-format my system? (For example, I use Alt-A
for aa, a with macron.)

A friend of mine who has been visiting the Khmer Republic is appalled by
what he sees there now. For example, on last Vesak Day, he thought of
celebrating it in a wat there. There were only a handful of people there.
They knew it was a holiday, but did not know why! Since then he is
motivated to do something for the Khmer in some small way. He has started
collecting used clothes and Buddhist books in simple English, since this is
what they requested.

It would be good if more effort is made to help the Khmer by those able and
willing. Please spread the message.
