Dear Dimitry and All,
it is possible for several threads of discussion to be carried out simultaneously. I am on to start the study on Pali Primer. Just waiting for replies from Evelyn and Piya.
At the same time, you can start on A New Course in Reading Pali and Dhammapada. I am very interested in doing these too, but someone else has to take the lead.
metta,
Yong Peng.

Dear Yong Peng and All,
OYP> So, my suggestion for the group study will be as such:
OYP> 1. Pali Primer, Dr. Lily de Silva; followed by
OYP> 2. A New Course in Reading Pali, James W.Gair and W.S. Karunatillake
Thank you for your attentiveness (and good choice :).
I am currently translating "A New Course in Reading Pali" in Russian, so
I can post readings from any lesson to anyone, in Microsoft Word or HTML
format, with numbers of suttas and links to English translations included.
Total beginners have been known to successfully use this textbook. It
is just interesting to read original texts.
If you'd like, we can make emphasis on those texts which have English
translations available on the Internet.
Or we can study Dhammapada verses, as it is suggested at
http://ccbs.ntu.edu.tw/PALI/reading/dhapa.htm
metta,
Dimitry
