Nothing. Or maybe read a few classics like Ehret's Reconstructing
Afroasiatic (which, unlike the stuff of the Moscow school, is
understandable... <g>), the Omotic language studies ed. by Hayward,
Bender's Comparative Omotic morphology... also Ehret's Nilo-Saharan...
