I never said that “raz” isn’t used for counting.  I said that that is not its primary usage.  You’re reading what you want into what I said.  I’ve told you my background with the Russian language.  1.5 years intensive military training and then 10 years listening to Russians in a great variety of contexts.  What is your background in the language?

IT is common to count ras/z, dva, tri and not adin, dva, tri for whatever strange reason. Ras/z
means something like "start" (head).
