The simple question is: Is Sumerian a language. The simple answer
is: yes, or course. It also has an alphabet. The not so simple
question is: who spoke Sumerian. One possibility is that it was
spoken by Semites. Or that it was spoken by non-Semites. Another is
that it was a language of the gods. A further possibility is that it
was a non-slave (non-masses) language. And yes, it could also have
been the language of those who came to earth in spaceships.
