A good point. In this universe, language simply cannot be transmitted from generation to generation without _any_ irreversible changes. I suppose, however, that H.M.Hubey was thinking of great similarity rather than complete identity, and so the question was quite legitimate.
and there may be one that does not change at all. Stochastic behavior even allows for that.
