The answer Glennie is reasonably simple. All females lead similar lives (when compared to males) yet each individual life is different, one from the other. A female is both a member of a group AND an individual.

Genetics, archaeology and linguistics likewise have many similarities as well as differences.

As well, your big three are also the product of the times.
