I’m a little behindhand this week, I’m afraid: I had five
teeth extracted two weeks ago, and I’ve been a wee bit
distracted. Fortunately, I’d almost nothing to say:

> Snorri gaf Þorkatli gjafar sæmilegar og þeim Guðrúnu
> báðum, slíkt sama öðrum sínum vinum og frændum.

> Snorri gave Thorkatl honorable gifts and to them, both the
> Gudruns, in such wise the same to his other relatives and
> friends.

> Snorri gave them, both Thorkell (and) Gudrun, honourable
> gifts, such the same to others of his friends and kinsmen.

> Snorri gave to Þorkell becoming (seemly, costly,
> soemiligr) gifts and to them (Bolli and) Guðrún both, such
> (the) same to his other friends and kinsmen.

<Slíkt sama> (or <slíkt (h)it sama>) can be taken as a
single element meaning 'likewise'.
