Eftir um vorið var það einn dag að Arnkell kallar á tal við sig Þórarin frænda sinn, Vermund og Álfgeir og spurði hver liðveisla þeim þætti vinveittust við sig, hvort þeir færu til þings "og kostum að því allra vina vorra," segir hann.
