Either way would work for me. If we had a relatively new learner in the group, I would suggest two different texts to work on so that the new person could spend a week on one text and not worry about the second text. (At least that's what I did when I was first starting out: I worked all week on the translation before it was posted. I am a slow learner!)

However, since we don't have anyone in that position, it makes as much sense to to me work on one text as two. Maybe someone else will have a stronger opinion?
