A pile of wood stood in the stack. He went thither to (it) and took one

During the evening he went home. He went to (the) room. His mother greeted

Kolfinnur segir: "Ekki þykist eg lausgeðjaður," sagði hann, "í athöfnum
mínum. Þykir mér nú
Kolfinn says, “I do not think (I am) fickle minded,” said he, “in my
behavior. (It) seems to me now
von að eg veiti þér þetta að ganga þangað um hríð."

“I don’t want it,” said he, “I want to keep my outfit as is. I will also
not drag any man (along) with me.”
"Þú munt ráða vilja," sagði hún.
“You will wish to decide (it’s up to you),” said she.
Eftir um morguninn gekk Kolfinnur til Kollafjarðar og háttaði öllu sem hinn
fyrra dag. Svo fór
The next morning Kolfinn went to Kolli’s Fjord and all behaved as the
previous day. So (it) went
fram öndverðan vetur að þessir þrír menn háttuðu svo ferðum sínum. Engi
þeirra mælti við
