Wow, it's fantastic to find someone else here for the same reason. The language is very interesting and I agree that it offers insight into their culture that you just won't get from reading English translations of their literature, although that is fun too.
Right now my story will be more along the lines of a novella in length, but the reason I started this research is because of an interesting character idea that I had. So here I am!
