Middle voice ('reflexive') of <sætta> 'to reconcile'; Zoëga
gives <sættast> 'to come to terms'.

There was no agreement, no coming to terms.

<Engu> is neut. dat. sing. In the legal context <bœta> takes
the payment in the dative, so <engu> presumably refers to
the payment: 'was compensated with nothing'.

I just grabbed the question marks; if I missed anything,
holler.
