readable old danish? =)
------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- -

here you can see the orignal transcription:

: kurmR : kunukR :
: k(a)(r)þi : kubl : þusi :
: a(f)(t) : þurui : kunu
÷ sina ÷ tanmarkaR ÷ but

it was written in the younger futhark, and i think it is bad
transcription since what seems to me is that they don't think of that
most letters in the younger futhark had more than one sound. So i
tried to make a better version :b

so tell me what you think ^^

My transcription:

: GormR : KonugR :
: garði : kubl : þusi :
: aft : þyrui : konu
÷ sína ÷ danmarkaR ÷ bót ÷

and here it is compared to old west norse:
"Gormr konungr gerði kuml þessi ept Þyrvé, konu sína, Danmarkar bót."

and i translated it into modern danish, but in a very directly way.
it is understandable. i just translated it directly so i better can
show how the words is similar ^^

modern danish :
"Kong Gorm gjorde kumler disse efter Thyr, kone sin, Danmarks bod"

(and this is "normal sounding danish")
"Kong Gorm lavede disse minder efter sin kone Thyr, Danmarks bod"
