Another time (yet again) Gizur called for Witnesses and gave notice of a suit at the hand of Gunnar Hamundarson

Þeir gengu þangað til og ruddu fjóra búa úr kviðinum en kvöddu hina fimm

They went and challenged (successfully) four of the jury and challenged five others to acquit Gunnar of charges
hvort þeir Þorgeir
Starkaðarson eða Þorgeir Otkelsson hefðu farið með þann hug til fundar að
vinna á Gunnari ef þeir mættu.
because Thorgeir Starkadsson and Thorgeir Otkellsson had waited with intent to kill (loitering with intent - cuff them)

en Gunnar skyldi fara utan og Kolskeggur og vera í brautu
þrjá vetur.
and Gunnar should leave and go away (?for ever) Kolskegg for three years to go abroad.
En ef Gunnar færi eigi utan og mætti hann komast þá skyldi hann
dræpur fyrir frændum hins vegna.
But if Gunnar would not go away he might then be caught and killed
by the relatives of the victims
I am sure that this is now OK but Gizur the White and his there-unto's and Here-to-fore's is a pain - any Critique will be warmly received - I worried over the last one but that seems to have been alright
