Ok, this site is really nice.
There is a certain requirement to make oneself not cheat!
The site is all in frames, so I can't give a direct link. The Essunga stones are hard to make out, so maybe I'll suggest skipping to Falköping. Vg 76, 90, and 92 are all very clear. I officially overreach myself, and declair that that's the programme (that was a performative statement, everyone oooo and ahhhh), and that it should be a very slowly moving programme (I can't keep up with Njall, and this is a bit wiggier to work on).
I'm going to try and make a run at 76 today (between studying for a test and cooking potatoes:/), and see how far I can get, from that I'm going to decide exactly WHAT I want to try doing. I'd kinda like to try and read the stone itself, but it might be that I go from the typed runes, and try and get a translation, or maybe I'll just try and read off the runes to begin with, or maybe I'll start with the transliterations and try to work up as I look at more different stones, or, or, or.... I've never tried this seriously before, so I'm not really sure yet how I want to approach it.
If anyone else is interested, maybe we can try and post some type of attempt at doing something with Vg76 (even if it's just reading the letters) by, say end of Sunday the 14th?

Yeah, it's the type of challenge I think will really help me a lot. Also, it gives some posiblity of looking at earlier dialects, which I'm really interested in. And I'm fully aware that I can't do it on my own, so it's a good candidate for a big list with lots of smart people.
