I find your mention of your Studies to be of great interest to me Andrew - I have always been of the belief that Welsh had hardly changed over centuries - hardly - that is apart from the adding or absorbing of new words.
The German People - under the guidance of one of their Kaisers had attempted to turn new words into words of Germanic origin - The Icelanders having already striven to make their "new words" in as a more acceptably Icelandic form.
Surely - thought I - the  Welsh would be doing the same - but did they - I have lost touch with this can you advise

I am returning to this group after spending the last year teaching
myself Middle Welsh and I am currently in the midsts of reading the
Mabongoi - Pwyll Price of Dyved.

I've decided to take up Old Norse again and am starting with a reading
of the Snorri's Eddas beginning with The Prologue and Gylfaginning in
the excellent editon by Anthony Faulkes. Starting with the
prologue "Almattigr guth skapathi himin ok jorth...." Be great if
anyone else out there in veroldunni is working on this so we can
compare notes.
