I am just wondering about a couple definitions here for the word "solitude".  I know I've asked about this before, however, I would simply like to know the  meanings of the words listed (I have Sigurður Örn Bogason's Ensk-íslenzk orðabók - it was written for Icelanders) as quoted from the dictionary -

 

solitude (n.) einvera, afvikinn eyðistaður; óbyggðir; það að vera einangraður; to live in solitude.
