Just wanted to point out that "gert" is simply
the pp. of "gera":

eg mun geta gert það = I will be able to do that
eg get gert það = I am able do that
við gátum gert það = we were able to do that
etc.

So there is really no "willingly" in the sentence,
"gert" is not to be taken adverbially (I don't think
such a meaning would be possible). There is even an
"I suppose" force in the usage of "munu" here = "I
suppose I can do that", "I can do that, I guess".
