Thanks. I was a bit unsure how to normalise that. Gordon prints
'rýnstr' in his normalised Old Norwegian version, but then I noticed
that the Scaldic Poetry of the Scandinavian Middle Ages site just left
it as 'rúnstr' [
http://skaldic.arts.usyd.edu.au/db.php?table=verses&id=13942 ], and a
different sign is used for 'y' later in the inscription in 'fyrir'.
But then there are plenty of other spelling inconsistencies among
these inscriptions. And 'rýnstr' would be the regular form, wouldn't
it, like stoerstr, yngstr < *stôristaz, *ungistaz.
