There is a group of female nouns. Nomintive singular ending is -ing and
in plurar -ingar:

hendingar, eldingar, endingar, lendingar, ....,bendingar, kerlingar.

also meyjar of Mey/Mær. May be more?

About other female nouns like having genitive singular "far'ar"
realizing in older literature

as nominative plural: I consider it to be especial literary usage of
gentive singular.

As the following redundance of "ar" is unbearable to most folk.
