In the older Calendar (Heathen one) still in use in 16. hundred
century, the first month is named "HeyAnnir" corresponds to harvest-
month elsewhere in Europe I reckon.
The verb "Anna" is to care about and be preoccupied of: see also
Nanna as "one anna".
Now August (eighth month of Gregorian calendar) covers nearly the
same period.
So the native reader in this era knows it is harvest period or
autumn the first season in Heathen year.

My speculations are therefore: From dark came Ligth. From Night came
Day. From Winter came Summer.
See Winter is "Vetur" Wet points to rainy.
Sumar I see "Suns around are" and ConSume gives dryness.
Major seasons Rainy (haust-vetur/autum-Winter) and Sunny (Vor-sumar/
Spring-summer).
