Hey all:
I found the Icelandic version of the Tristam poem, and found a translation, but
I'm missing part of a verse.
28. fiat var henni svortu Ísodd angr ok mein;
bæ›i varú lfkin sett i helgan stein.
fleim var ekki skapat nema skilja.
28 ( _____________________________;)
both bodies were placed in a holy cell.
They had no other fate than to be parted.
Can anybody help me out with the missing first line? It's a copy of a copy and
possibly not all spelled right.
(Actually, I guess the answer may well be that I should do my homework and
translate it myelf... Ok, I'll work on it.)
Thanks!
Frith!
