McKinnell J., `The Context of Völundarkviða', Saga-Book of the
Viking Society 23 (1990), pp. 1–27. I gather this puts forward
linguistic arguments for an English provenance for this poem.


The Icelandic Language, by Stefán Karlsson (translated from 'Tungan'
by Rory McTurk), touches very briefly on ecclesiastical loans from
other Germanic languages, though of those listed only 'guðspjall'
and 'þolinmóðr', 'þolinmoeði' are narrowed down to Old English.
