Well, just by way of introducing myself further, here's a picture of me taken in England last week at the Tor of Avalon--not a specifically Norse site per se, yet so old that, the first Vikings to visit Somerset certainly saw it. Also such an important pagan religious centre that Vikings were sure to have visited it over the centuries too.The area around it was kept intentionally flooded until around 500 AD so you could sail right up to the isle of Avalon from the Bristol Channel.
