Richard Harris's "Concordance to the Proverbs and
Proverbial Materials in the Old Icelandic Sagas". I don't think
it's possible to search the whole thing, but if I ever get time, it
would be good to look through it and see if there's anything
similar. I haven't really read enough Norse yet to know if this
sounds like proverbial material--but I'll bear it in mind. There's
certainly a lot of traditional sayings in some sagas.
