This looks like a very good translation. Only one comment to
make...
I think that "villtu... " as in
Villtu selja oss dýrit
conveys more of a sense of volition in Old Norse than the English "will
you". Perhaps, "do you want to" would be better.
And as for the last line, yes, that is tricky!! I'll do my best to
pick it apart -
eða ætlar þú giptu þína svá mikla
ætla - verb with a variety of meanings depending on the context: to think,
consider to be, expect, look for, intend to do, purpose. Here, I think
"expect" fits the context best.
gipta - a noun meaning "good luck", something you either are blessed with
or not, a bit like charm - you either have it, or you don´t!!
svá mikla - so great: adjectival phrase qualifying gipta, the extent of his
good luck-ness [sorry about my English there! :-)]
So put all this together...
or do you expect your luck to be so great
at þú munir þar komask með gørsimar
munir - present subjunctive of munu: will
þar - there - referring to Denmark
komask - verb, infinitive -sk form 'get oneself (there)' or arrive
All together this becomes
that you will be able to get there with (the) treasures
er aðrir fá eigi komizk klakklaust,
er - conjunction: when
aðrir - indefinite pronoun masculine plural: others
fá - verb 3rd person plural present tense: manage/get
eigi - adverb: not
komizk - verb (as above but subjunctive, I believe - that's why the
ending is -isk not -ask)
klakklaust - adverb: uninjured
Put this together to get
when others don't manage to do so uninjured
þó at nauðsyn eigi til?"
þó at - conjunction: even though
nauðsyn - fem noun: need/necessity
eigi - verb, present subjunctive of eiga: has
Notice that the 3rd person singular pronoun "hann" is missing, it is
implied in the form of the verb.
Piece that together to get
even though he might have need to.
