There is a free font available which has the hooked o. It is available for both Windows and Mac and can be downloaded at http://skaldic.arts.usyd.edu.au/fonts/
Shall I try using this font for the next text installment of Hrafnkel? The only drawback is that it uses altered ("nontraditional") unicode for the eth (ð) and a few other symbols. So those who don't have the Reykholt Times font will get something a bit strange. I COULD continue to use Times New Roman for all but the hooked o, and insert it from the other font. That way, your computer should render the font okay, except the hooked o would appear as an o with a tilde (õ). Or I can continue to make the hooked o using a capital Q in a lower font size:
That has apparently created problems for some of you? If your email only accepts plain text, then the unicodes don't work. Is that correct? Simon has been sending his as a Word document. Which could be a problem for those who don't have Word.
Please let me know your preferences. I don't want to have to post several versions.
