I agree with that translation, Sarah.  And I have made some comments, but general rather than to each person.  I hesitate to say my version is "correct" without some comment on it from Haukur or another "expert."

Hi Simon!

I think we´re all meant to be chipping in with comments on each other´s translations, but I seem to be the only person who has done so, so far!  But that doesn´t mean what I say is necessarily right - far from it!  For what it´s worth, here are my comments...

I thought it all seemed fine, apart from

Þar er heill þín öll.'
There all of you will be well.”

I´m not sure this is quite right.  This is how I analysed it, see what you think...

heill    is a noun, feminine, singular, nominative, indefinite

þín     is a possessive pronoun, 2nd pers sing, also

          feminine, and nominative

öll      is an adjective, feminine, singular, nominative

This makes me think that öll and þín both modify heill.  If so, that would read - all your good fortune is there.

Look forward to hearing what you think!

Cheers,

Sarah.

I think I'd better send this as an enclosure to avoid encoding problems, if that's OK.
Thanks Laurel,
Simon
