BQðvarr - said - not - shall you - have/make use of - the shieldwall - longer
Bodvarr said, "You shall no longer have the shieldwall."

Hơttr mælti ok grét “Skaltu nú bana mér, bokki sæll?”
HQttr - said - and - he wept - you shall/ought/must - now - kill - me - fellow - fortunate
Hood said, and he wept, "Will you kill me now, dear bucko?"

Bơðvarr bað hann ekki hafa hátt, tók hann upp síðan ok bar hann út ór hơllinni ok til vatns nơkkurs sem þar var í nánd, ok gáfu fáir at þessu gaum, ok þó hann upp allan.
BQðvarr - asked - him - not - to get - loud, seized - him - up - afterwards - and - bore - him - out - from - the hall - and - to - water/lake - a certain - which - there - was - in - proximity, and - gave - few - at - this - attention, and - washed - him - up - all the way.
Bodvarr commanded him not to make a scene, picked him up then and carried him out from the hall and to a certain lake which was there nearby, and few paid any attention to this, and cleaned him up thoroughly.

Síðan gekk Bơðvarr til þess rúms sem hann hafði áðr tekit, ok leiddi eptir sér Hơtt ok þar setr hann Hơtt hjá sér.
Afterwards - walked - BQðvarr - to - this - space/seat - which - he - had - before/first - taken, and - led - after/behind - himself - HQttr - and - there - placed/set - he - HQttr - beside - himself.
Then Bodvarr walked to the same seat which he had taken before, leading Hood behind him, and he sat Hood there beside him.

But he was so afraid that he trembled in every limb, but nevertheless he seemed to understand that this man wanted to help him.
