Hi,
I recall a while ago we were discussing the variety
of OLd Norse that used to be spoken on the island
GOTLAND in the Baltic Sea in the Middle Ages.
Well, I finally managed to locate a book that contains
a transcription of the medieval Gotlandic law texts.
I will type up half a page or so, as an example
of what the language looked like, and submit it to the
list in a posting following this one.
Perhaps we could also try to produce a normalized
version, i.e. normalized according to the usual
standardized Old Norse as it is found in, for example
Zoëga's dictionary.

Regards
Xigung
