Here's an Icelandic strophe some of you may like.
Löngum var ég læknir minn,
lögfræðingur, prestur,
smiður, kóngur, kennarinn,
kerra, plógur, hestur.
(Props: læknir, lögfræðingur, kennarinn, kerra)
(Headstaves: lögfræðingur, kerra)
Translation:
"For a long time I was my own doctor, lawyer, priest,
craftsman, king, teacher, carriage, plough and horse."
('Löngum' could also be translated as "repeatedly in the past"
or "time and again".)
Kveðja,
Haukur
