The most recent and up-to-date etymological dictionary of Icelandic
is the one published by the University of Iceland in 1989:

Ásgeir Blöndal Magnússon
ÍSLENSK ORÐSIFJABÓK
(1231 pages, no ISBN)

Highly recommended, this should be available from any good
Icelandic bookstore.

The only other such possibly in print is Jan de Vries'
Altnordisches Etymologisches Wörterbook (1962). Quite a
good book, but 40 years old, and in many ways obsolete.

The only other one I know of is Alexander Jóhannesson's
Isländisches Etymologisches Wörterbuch (1951-1956). I
believe it is quite difficult to get hold of these days,
and I doubt it can be recommended, as it is rather, what
shall we say, idiosyncratic. However, it could be of interest
to many here, as it traces all words back to IE roots, and
contains a special index of these roots. Well worth checking
out in the local library, if you're curious about this kind
of thing. It is quite huge, but, as I mentioned, perhaps not
100% reliable ...
