I stumbled on this stanza and thought it was
interesting enough to post. I'm guessing it's
late 19th century.

Í Dimmadal sá ég dverga nóga.
Þeir dreyptu á mig úr hornum sín'.
Gandreið þeirra mér gerði óa,
gaurana spurði um lömbin mín.
Þursarnir gáfu þetta svar:
Þau hefðu ekki komið þar.

In Dark Valley I saw enough [many] dwarfs.
They dripped on me from the horns.
There 'gand'-riding gave me discomfort,
I asked the fellows about my lambs.
The 'þursar' gave this answer:
They had not come there.

Usually 'þurs' refers to 'giants' but
here to dwarfs.
